What to expect...
We can meet you at your lodging place if you arrive the night before your trip or we can meet at the gate to the ranch. We're just a few short miles from the town of San Luis. We're not typically in a hurry to get started in the morning as there will be nobody fishing ahead of us. Sleep in! During monsoon season, we would recommend getting an early start. We'll fish up to 8 hrs on a typical day. Summer days can be long, especially if the river is fishing well. We'll typically provide 1 guide per 2 guests. We'll have help in setting up lunch mid way through the day.
What you should bring...

Colorado fishing license

Rod, reel and waders. A 9'-0" 3,4 or 5 wt. rod works best. You may catch fish over 20" on our stretch of the river. These fish are strong and you might need to run downstream to land one. There are not many obstructions to snag your back cast and longer rods aid in mending line. We recommend a floating fly line and 7-1/2' leaders, tapered to 5x. We may have rental gear available - just ask in advance.

We will provide a quality streamside lunch, water and beverages. Let us know if you have any special dietary restrictions.

Full Day, Guided fly-fishing package - normally 6 to 8 hrs fishing, weather permitting.
(Includes flies, tippet and terminal tackle and stream side lunch. Gratuity not included)
